A New Dress Boot From Redback Boots - The Whistler

A New Dress Boot From Redback Boots - The Whistler

July 07, 2025

We are excited to announce the long awaited arrival of the new range of dress boots from Redback. These should be in stock by next week.

The new "Whistler" boots feature a more refined, lower profile footprint and toe box as well as a more refined leather upper. Unlike the classic Redback work boot, the rubber sole has been thinned and reshaped for a smarter appearance but still provides plenty of traction on slippery surfaces. For added comfort and a smarter finish the Whistler features a calfskin lining making for a more refined boot.

The dress boot will initially be offered in three colour variants with some really subtle texturing and a more pronounced sheen as compared with the classic Redback range. This makes them great for more formal occasions when paired with smart jeans or trousers.

Elevate your style with a pair of our new "Whistler" boot.

Available now.

The New "IronBark" Boot From Redback

The New "IronBark" Boot From Redback

June 24, 2025

We are pleased to announce the arrival of the new style workboot from Redback. Identical in construction to our ever popular UBOK model, the boot is made with premium 3mm thick leathers for extra durability and safety. The IronBark is a reference to the colour of the leather, which takes its name from the bark of the Australian Eucalytpus tree. The colour is a mixture of mottled browns and grey tones. Can be used in both a casual and dress setting.

As you would expect, the boot boasts the classic Redback "air bubble" sole which provides excellent foot support and relieves joint pressure. Great for anyone spending all day on their feet. The Iron Bark model (aka UBIB) is currently available in a soft toe version without steel toe caps.

How To Make Your Redback Boots Last 10 Years or More

How To Make Your Redback Boots Last 10 Years or More

March 04, 2025

Our excellent Redback boots are built to high standards, With the correct care, they can last you many years. However, our Redback boots are made with thicker, wholegrain leathers, a natural product, which does require a little maintenance, compared with their synthetic counterparts. If left untreated, the leathers may become more prone to water ingress and damage.

To keep your Redback boots in best condition, we highly recommend keeping them cleaned and waxed. We can not over-emphasize the importance of doing this if you want a long service life from your boots!

Step 1: Thoroughly clean all mud, dirt, chemicals and debris from your boots, including the soles. Use a damp cloth to wipe away all detritus until all surfaces are clean. Try to not  saturate the leathers, it is unnecessary and will make the drying procedure last longer than necessary

Step 2: Once thoroughly clean, please allow your boots to dry off. Please do not use a heat source such as a radiator or fireplace to force dry the boots, as this may cause issues such as deformation of the leathers. Instead, keep them in a well ventilated, dry area and allow them to dry naturally.

Step 3: Use a lint free cloth to apply a liberal and even of coat of wax to the leathers, including to the stitching. Once fully coated, allow the wax to penetrate for five to ten minutes. Once absorbed, use a lint free cloth to wipe away and then buff out the wax, bringing the leathers to a light sheen. Allow them to sit for a few more minutes as this will allow the waxes to harden.

As mentioned above, this process will greatly increase the water resistance of the boot as well as provide an additional layer of protection to the leather.

Please note: Redback boots are definitely not waterproof!!! However, with a good waxing, they can be very water resistant.
